A Thinking Thread. This sci-fact, thought-provoking audio drama is adapted from a short story by award-winning British writer Deryn Pittar, and told by Esther Luttrell. The fashion industry is always looking for something new; a cloth to surprise the world and delight the wearer, a fabric that handles and drapes with style and elegance. Jessica hopes their latest creation will save the family’s fashion business. Their researchers have created a ‘thinking thread’ and a walk in the rain was intended to test its capabilities. What no one anticipated was for artificial intelligence to have a will of its own. From Mojave Beach Productions’ Saratoga Theater. Music credits and appreciation to Fesliyan Studios and Pixabay. From Mohave Beach Productions’ Saratoga Theater comes this poignant slice-of-life human drama. When drifter Dylan (Rainbow) Maddocks murders a couple in a North Carolina forest, Sheriff Buddy Roland uses tracking methods taught him by his Native American grandfather. Environmentalists and nonviolent militia groups are outraged that any man, regardless of the crime, should be hunted down like an animal. As Rainbow runs from hill-to-hill, a wall of protection goes up around him so that only those closest to him know his identity. Songs are written about the man deeply shrouded in mystery; one even hits the charts. Millions are made on book and movie deals. The true villain, according to the media—and most of the country—is the sheriff. This audio program works so well due primarily to storyteller Jeff Evans plus original songs composed and performed by Erudessa Gentian. The occasional sound of Eddie Craig’s lonely harmonica adds a perfect touch to a haunting tale. Besides the music of Gentian and Craig, the outstanding score was provided by David Fesliyan (www.fesliyanstudios.com). Esther Luttrell wrote, directed, and co-produced with Patrick McGranahan, who has created an incredible backdrop of sound. A special bonus is an additional 10 minute, behind-the-scenes, informal chat between Evans, Luttrell and McGranahan.
